Softhive ("Softhive," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website softhive.io (the "Site") and provides design and software development services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the Site or contacting us, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Softhive is an AI-native software studio that builds websites, web apps, and mobile apps. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@softhive.io.
For data-protection requests, contact Softhive at hello@softhive.io.
2. Information we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. We collect:
- Information you give us directly. When you submit our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message, along with any other information you choose to include.
- Technical information. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically process limited technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) to deliver and secure the Site. We do not use this data to identify you.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your enquiry and communicate with you about a potential or ongoing project;
- provide, maintain, and secure the Site;
- comply with legal obligations.
If you are in a region with data-protection laws such as the GDPR, our legal bases for processing are: your consent (when you contact us), our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Cookies and analytics
The Site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. [If you later add analytics, for example Google Analytics, Plausible, or Cloudflare Web Analytics, disclose it here and update the "Information we collect" section.]
5. Third parties who process data for us
We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the Site, and only as needed:
- Web3Forms processes contact-form submissions and delivers them to us by email.
- Our email provider receives and stores enquiries sent to
hello@softhive.io. - Cloudflare provides hosting, content delivery, and security for the Site.
These providers act on our behalf and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
6. International data transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond and, where a project results, for the duration of our working relationship and a reasonable period afterward for legal and record-keeping purposes. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see below).
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing, or to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@softhive.io and we'll respond within the timeframe required by law.
9. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under [16, or the age required in your jurisdiction], and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the revised version here and update the "Effective date" above. Material changes will be made clear.
